Why were the ancient Israelites constantly in turmoil and having to fight off their enemies? Listen to this fascinating message to learn about the cycles of evil that happened when the people of Israel abandoned God and were totally influenced by the pagan gods inspired by Satan. Find out that God in His grace delivered them over and over but they returned to their evil ways throughout much of their history. Realize that we face the same pagan influences today and must choose to trust God rather than live like those around us.

Passage: Ephesians 4:17-21
Series: Ephesians (2018)
Duration: 45 mins 23 secs
After salvation, then what? Listen to this lesson to hear a blueprint for two paths you can take. One is to continue as you did as an unbeliever, living by the dictates of the sin nature. It leads to spiritual death in this life and at the Judgment Seat of Christ you receive no rewards. The best choice is to choose to live by means of the Holy Spirit. This involves reading the Word of God, studying, internalizing, memorizing, and applying it to decisions you make. It includes confession of sin on a regular basis and results in spiritual maturity and rewards. Each day you have this decision to make so choose wisely.

Would you like to learn what biblical love is and how to have it in your life? Listen to this message to see that love is a mental attitude that you can’t produce on your own but it will develop when you walk by means of the Holy Spirit. Hear the characteristics of love in terms you can understand. See how any effort you make that is not based on love is worth nothing. Find out that the way to understand love is to realize the significance of Christ’s death on the Cross for us when we were rebels against God.

Passage: Judges 10:1-10
Series: Judges (2021)
Duration: 1 hr 9 mins 20 secs
After the chaos during the judgeship of Abimelech, hear there was a peaceful period when five judges ruled Israel. See that the people of Israel gradually returned to their old ways of abandoning God and serving idols until God again judged them and allowed outside enemies to attack them. Learn about some of the pagan gods they worshiped instead of the one true God. Just as in those days, we, too, must choose daily if we will serve God or false gods.

Passage: Ephesians 4:17-21
Series: Ephesians (2018)
Duration: 1 hr 58 mins 9 secs
Are you a part of Team Adam or Team Church? Listen to this lesson to learn that when anyone trusts Christ as their Savior they switch from being in Adam to being in the Church, which is the body of Christ. Hear what we were like when we were born and see that the corruption was getting worse. Then when we trusted in Christ, we were born again and are now part of the Church. Everything is new. In order to grow to spiritual maturity we need to have our thinking renewed and that can only happen as we walk by means of the Holy Spirit and learn what the Scriptures reveal about our new life.

Passage: Philippians 1:9 & John 13:34-35
Series: Philippians (2022)
Duration: 1 hr 5 mins 3 secs

What does it mean for our love to abound? Listen to this lesson to learn that when we first trust in Christ as our Savior we have very little understanding of what biblical love is and it is only through gaining knowledge of the Word of God and discernment that we come to understand it. Begin a study of seven passages of Scripture that discuss love beginning with what it means to be a disciple. Be challenged to apply three important lessons from the parable of the Good Samaritan.

During this message Dr. Dean referenced a document by Walt Kaiser, The Law As God’s Gracious Guidance for the Promotion of Holiness.

Series: Ephesians (2018)
Duration: 53 mins 31 secs
What are the phrases “old man” and “new man” referring to? And how are they put off and put on? Listen to this lesson to learn that these are not commands but rather, they occur instantly at the moment anyone trusts in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. See that they refer to leaving our position in Adam and joining with others in the Church, or body of Christ. Rejoice that all believers are in Christ and as such, have the power to obey the many commands given to us that refer to our new spiritual life.

Passage: Judges 9:23-57
Series: Judges (2021)
Duration: 58 mins 45 secs
Do you like to see justice done when someone has committed a wrong? Listen to this message to hear about a time when God’s unseen hand was at work punishing Abimelech and the people of Shechem for the evil they had done. Hear about the battle that took place and how a woman wounded Abimelech by dropping a stone on him from a wall. Be assured that God is always at work providentially and that evil will always be repaid.
