Passage: Matthew 24:29-33
Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 56 mins 56 secs
Nearly everyone is interested in what will happen in the future but there is little agreement on the subject. Listen to this lesson to hear about two future events, one only for believers and the other for all the inhabitants of the earth at the time. Find out that Jesus is talking about His future return to earth in the Olivet Discourse. Hear the distinctions between the Rapture and the Second Coming and that our response should be a reminder that all believers should be living their lives in light of eternity.

Duration: 59 mins 40 secs
What is your view of the future? An apocalyptic event as portrayed in movies and books? Listen to this lesson to learn about a coming seven-year period more violent and intense than anything the world has ever seen. Find out that believers will not have to go through this but will be “snatched up” or raptured to Heaven. Hear the evidence for the Rapture occurring before the Tribulation starts. Find out about different views about the timing of the Rapture and the problems associated with them. Hear about the imminency of the Rapture. As a believer, look forward every day to the Rapture in order to be spiritually prepared when Christ returns for the Church.

Should we imitate Christians we admire? Listen to this lesson to see what it means to be a follower of someone. See how the Apostle Paul was an example to believers but he pointed out that Jesus Christ was to be our model. Find out the meaning of the wrath of God and the different time frames it refers to. See when it refers to the Rapture. If at times you feel distant from God as if He had left you, ask yourself if you are the one who has moved away from Him.

Duration: 1 hr 14 mins 31 secs
Dispensationalism is a system of theology (not a hermeneutical approach) that believes the Bible teaches God’s single plan for history is accomplished through Israel and the church for the purpose of His glorification. This theology arises from a consistent use of the grammatical-historical hermeneutic, also known as literal interpretation. While salvation of mankind is of extreme importance, it is accomplished within the broader purpose of the glorification of God, which is demonstrated through the various administrations of dispensational arrangements of history and also encompasses the angelic realm. Jesus Christ is the hero of history by leaving heaven and humbling Himself as a Man, winning the victory at the cross, rising from the dead, ascending to heaven, taking His bride at the Rapture, returning triumphantly at the Second Coming, and reigning for a thousand years from Jerusalem. Traditional dispensationalism attempts to systematize biblical teaching for the purpose of glorifying God through Jesus Christ. History is seen as a progression of ages in which God tests mankind, man always fails, and God judges humanity, but always provides a grace to the elect.
