Search Bible Classes

The search function searches Bible class descriptions and transcripts. When the search function finds the search word or phrase, you will be presented with links to the classes that contain those words. The link will take you to the class audio page. If you want to find where the search phase is located in the Bible class transcript, click on the Transcript:read link to view the transcript. Once in the transcript window, type Ctrl-F (PC) or Cmd-F (Mac) to enter the word or phrase in the browser search box, and it will show you all occurrences of your search word(s).

  • Entering a search string with no other criteria (such as AND, NOT, or quote marks) will return some of the context around the words you entered (which are highlighted) as well as a link to the audio player for the class.
That page will also have links to the video, transcript, and slides for that class.

  • Entering two search terms separated by the word AND will return links to all items which contain both of those terms as well as part of the description of each class.

  • Entering two terms separated by the word NOT will return links to all items which contain the first term but not the second term as well as part of the description of each class.

  • Entering a search string in quotes will return links to items that contain the exact phrase as well as part of the description of each class.

Passage: Matthew 20:20-28
Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 53 mins 34 secs
What in the world is the baptism of the cup? If you have only one idea of baptism, listen to this lesson to learn that there are eight different kinds of baptism in the Bible, three of which involve water, and five are dry. See that the cup of baptism refers to what is in the cup. Find out that when Jesus referred to the drinking of His cup, He is talking about His suffering on the Cross. Since none of us will die on a cross, understand that it refers to the unjust suffering that is part of the spiritual life of all believers. We need to ask ourselves how we handle unjust suffering.

Series: 1 Peter (2015)
Duration: 56 mins 14 secs
You would never think of starting a raging out-of-control fire in your neighborhood, would you? Listen to this lesson to learn that that the Bible tells us that our tongue starts fires when we gossip, slander, and malign others. See that evil words that spew out of our mouths come from our sin nature and are destructive to us and to the object of our anger. Hear a listing of types of sins of the tongue, including lying, yelling, flattery, judging, and bitter rants. As we move on in this chapter we begin a study of suffering unjustly. Find out that we are always to be ready to explain what we believe to unbelievers.

Passage: 1 Peter 3:18
Series: 1 Peter (2015)
Duration: 1 hr 10 mins 3 secs
Have you ever considered what it cost the Lord Jesus Christ to die for your sins as a substitute in your place? Listen to this lesson to hear many points on the meaning of substitutionary atonement. See how the sacrifices in the Old Testament were a picture of this and how an innocent lamb had to be sacrificed. Learn that Christ’s death on the Cross was a victory which He proclaimed to spirits after His crucifixion. See that when we suffer unjustly, our example on how we should handle it is Christ who died once for all, the just for the unjust.

Passage: 1 Peter 3:19-22
Series: 1 Peter (2015)
Duration: 1 hr 5 mins 58 secs

During the Christmas season you may find yourself wondering why it was necessary for God to become a man. Listen to this lesson to gain a better understanding of God’s amazing plan for mankind and the blessings that accompany it. Hear how Satan has tried to disrupt God’s plan and about one demonic attack that took place before the flood in Noah’s day. See that Jesus is our example of how to handle unjust suffering and hear that our prayer should be that we can know the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering.

Dr. Dean mentions his paper from the Pre-Trib Study Group in this message. You can view his presentation in the media link below.
