Search Bible Classes

The search function searches Bible class descriptions and transcripts. When the search function finds the search word or phrase, you will be presented with links to the classes that contain those words. The link will take you to the class audio page. If you want to find where the search phase is located in the Bible class transcript, click on the Transcript:read link to view the transcript. Once in the transcript window, type Ctrl-F (PC) or Cmd-F (Mac) to enter the word or phrase in the browser search box, and it will show you all occurrences of your search word(s).

Search Tips

  • Entering a search string with no other criteria (such as AND, NOT, or quote marks) will return some of the context around the words you entered (which are highlighted) as well as a link to the audio player for the class.
That page will also have links to the video, transcript, and slides for that class.

  • Entering two search terms separated by the word AND will return links to all items which contain both of those terms as well as part of the description of each class.

  • Entering two terms separated by the word NOT will return links to all items which contain the first term but not the second term as well as part of the description of each class.

  • Entering a search string in quotes will return links to items that contain the exact phrase as well as part of the description of each class.

Passage: Matthew 5:27-32
Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 55 mins 40 secs
Lust. Sexual immorality. Faithfulness in marriage. Does Biblical teaching about these make you squirm uncomfortably? Listen to this lesson to see how Jesus once again sets a higher standard than the Pharisees and scribes by focusing on what we think rather than what we do. See the meaning of "plucking out your right eye" and "cutting off your right hand". On the issue of divorce, notice how Jesus points out that we should think of marriage in terms of a lifelong commitment. Learn some Biblical reasons for divorce and remarriage and how when we make wrong decisions, God's grace still forgives us. Realize that personal righteousness is a heart matter, not a matter of rule-keeping.

Passage: Matthew 19:3-6
Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 1 hr 0 mins 25 secs
If you’ve been touched personally by divorce in your life or through your parents’ life, then this is a lesson that discusses thoughts that may be bothering you. Listen to what Jesus said about marriage when the Pharisees tried to entrap Him. Hear three basic things for us to remember about marriage and several questions that need to be answered. See that marriage is a covenant that involves obligations and that marriage is one of the tools God uses to help us grow to spiritual maturity. Keep in mind that no matter what has happened in your past, there is always grace and forgiveness through Christ’s death on the cross.
