Search Bible Classes

The search function searches Bible class descriptions and transcripts. When the search function finds the search word or phrase, you will be presented with links to the classes that contain those words. The link will take you to the class audio page. If you want to find where the search phase is located in the Bible class transcript, click on the Transcript:read link to view the transcript. Once in the transcript window, type Ctrl-F (PC) or Cmd-F (Mac) to enter the word or phrase in the browser search box, and it will show you all occurrences of your search word(s).

Search Tips

  • Entering a search string with no other criteria (such as AND, NOT, or quote marks) will return some of the context around the words you entered (which are highlighted) as well as a link to the audio player for the class.
That page will also have links to the video, transcript, and slides for that class.

  • Entering two search terms separated by the word AND will return links to all items which contain both of those terms as well as part of the description of each class.

  • Entering two terms separated by the word NOT will return links to all items which contain the first term but not the second term as well as part of the description of each class.

  • Entering a search string in quotes will return links to items that contain the exact phrase as well as part of the description of each class.

On every side today we witness the erosion of the influence of the Bible in churches. Often, conservative churches who seek Bible teaching pastors find no one with the training and the desire to teach the Bible verse by verse, categorically, and systematically. Seminaries churn out pastoral CEOs more consistent with business models for churches and church businesses rather than shepherds who can feed the flock with Biblical nourishment to produce transformed thinking and transformed lives. As a result, most Christians are starving and do not know it because they have been so anesthetized with music, entertainment, political correctness, and motivational sermons. We are in a crisis. Fewer and fewer pastors have the ability or the desire to teach the Bible. Is there anything you can do about it?

Irresponsible Samson is up to his arrogant, selfish tricks again in this week’s lesson as he takes a Philistine wife and plans a feast to celebrate. Find out who is invited to his feast and the wager and riddle he presents to them concerning his experience with a young lion. Hear how the new wife gets the answer to the riddle out of him by tears and pleading and the disastrous results Samson pursues as he pays the wager. Recognize from this that although Samson is totally disinterested in spiritual matters, God is always at work using Samson’s actions to fulfill His sovereign plans.
