Passage: Judges 4-5 & Genesis 1:26-28
Series: Judges (2021)
Duration: 1 hr 7 mins 43 secs
On this Holocaust Remembrance Day (1/27/22) hear the chronology of the wicked events that transpired in World War II which were designed by the Nazis to kill all the Jews in the world. See the distinction between this and a genocide. Then return to the ongoing study of the differences between men and women and how God designed these differences. Find out how the Fall changed the original design and pain and suffering entered the world. Learn what the phrase “your desire shall be for your husband” in Genesis 3 means. Understand that even though sin entered the world, the roles of men and women remain but were made more difficult.

Passage: Jeremiah 29:11
Series: Holocaust Special
Duration: 1 hr 8 mins 49 secs

How can we reconcile God’s many promises to the Jews with the scope of the tragedy of the Holocaust? Listen to this lesson to understand that the challenge of questioning the goodness of God is directly related to the character of God. Hear ten attributes of God and see that He is all good and what He does is always good, even when we cannot see it in the circumstances. Hear some basic questions that need to be explored including the existence of evil and how different worldviews explain it. Never try to put God on trial but by faith accept that He is always just and can be trusted.

The "God on Trial" movie Dr. Dean mentioned during this class is available for viewing at God on Trial (produced by Masterpiece Theater)

At the end of this lesson Dr. Dean recommended a publication to read for more information on the Holocaust. Click for the April/May 2016 issue of Israel My Glory.

Passage: Jeremiah 29:11
Series: Holocaust Special
Duration: 1 hr 2 mins 28 secs

How can a good God allow bad things to happen to His chosen people is a question that is often asked about the Holocaust. Listen to this lesson to begin to learn about evil in the world. Hear about a Church Father called Augustine who said the Jews were descendants of Cain and how this false teaching led to Replacement theology, which elevates Christians at the expense of Jews. Find out why God’s promise to bless those who bless Israel and to curse those who curse Israel is still valid today. Hear about the “Righteous among the nations” which refer to Gentiles who helped rescue Jews from the Holocaust. When asked about evil in the world, never minimize it but understand it is a result of Satan’s fall and God uses Satan’s trickery and turns it to good.
