Passage: Romans 12:19-21
Series: Romans (2010)
Duration: 58 mins 19 secs
"Just wait. You're going to pay for hurting me!" Have you ever fantasized about some really nasty ways to get even with someone who has treated you awful? Listen to this lesson to learn that God has promised to handle all the wrongs committed against us. His justice may not come just when we want it to or in the exact way we want but we can be assured He is working behind the scenes on our behalf. Hear several illustrations of times when God worked out justice in the Old Testament. Be shocked to learn that instead of seeking our own vengeance, we can love our enemies, treat them kindly, and be rewarded by God.

Will we see our enemies who treat us unjustly get punished? Listen to this lesson to see that we must learn to trust God and have confidence that He will dispense justice whether we see it or not. Find out that God always provides for believers no matter what the circumstances. Learn what wrath means and whether it involves emotion. Remember that no matter what happens to us we are to turn to God and trust Him.

Passage: 2 Samuel 2:10-32
Series: 1st and 2nd Samuel (2015)
Duration: 1 hr 2 mins 43 secs
Have you ever grappled with whether revenge and vengeance are always sins? Listen to this lesson to learn when they are wrong and when they are legitimate acts of justice. See what the Bible means when God says that vengeance is His and He will repay. Find out that what motivates us to want to get even with someone and be vindictive is always arrogance. Learn that instead of personal vengeance we should put the individual who has wronged us in God’s hands and apply love and forgiveness.
