What is a Mini-Series?
A Mini-Series is a small subset of lessons from a major series which covers a particular subject or book. The class numbers will be in reference to the major series rather than the mini-series.

Tag Index

Each Bible class is assigned a few keywords or phrases called tags. This is simply an index or listing of all those tags. It is not an exhaustive index built from all the words in the titles, descriptions and transcripts. For that, you need to use the search function on the main menu.

Passage: Acts 10:9-43
Series: Acts (2010)
Duration: 1 hr 5 mins 25 secs
Jewish religious practice at this time observed strict separation from Gentile culture, even though the Jews did have a level of missionary activity. To disrupt centuries of tradition was truly revolutionary. Peter’s encounter with Cornelius, carefully orchestrated and revealed by God, signals a complete change of direction from strict observance of the law exclusive to the Jew, to universal inclusion of the Gentile in Grace. Peter had to contemplate the enormity of this change, but lost no time in obeying God and going to Cornelius in Caesarea. Cornelius and his family responded to Peter’s revelation of Truth. See how Cornelius and his family acted to fulfill God’s sign to the Jew of a judgment to come for national rejection of their Messiah.

Passage: Acts 1-12
Series: Acts (2010)
Duration: 1 hr 1 mins 36 secs
In Acts 1–7 we see the birth of the church, its growing pains and persecution by the Jewish leaders. By chapter 8, this persecution forces believers to leave Jerusalem and trust God to expand the church. The gospel spreads through Philip’s ministry. Saul is converted, but not trusted at first because of his history of persecution of the church. God leads Peter to the Gentile Cornelius who believed and received the Holy Spirit. Herod Agrippa instigates another reign of persecution but he soon dies and the Word of God “grew and multiplied.” It is God’s work to grow the church, not man’s accomplishment.
