What is a Mini-Series?
A Mini-Series is a small subset of lessons from a major series which covers a particular subject or book. The class numbers will be in reference to the major series rather than the mini-series.

Tag Index

Each Bible class is assigned a few keywords or phrases called tags. This is simply an index or listing of all those tags. It is not an exhaustive index built from all the words in the titles, descriptions and transcripts. For that, you need to use the search function on the main menu.

Passage: Exodus 25-31
Series: 1st and 2nd Samuel (2015)
Duration: 1 hr 6 mins 47 secs
Why should we bother to learn about Old Testament priests, required sacrifices, and the yearly calendar of festivals? Listen to this lesson to learn that worship in the Old Testament was meant to teach about the important doctrines, such as redemption and sanctification so in the Church Age it gives us a deeper understanding. See the difference between ritual forgiveness and real forgiveness and its application to us today. See how the yearly religious calendar helped to keep the people focused on the importance of their spiritual life, which is a reminder of our need to focus on our spiritual life.

Passage: Matthew 27:45-49 & Mark 15:33-36
Series: Matthew (2013)
Duration: 47 mins 31 secs
How did God prepare the human race to understand Jesus Christ paying the price for our sins? Listen to this lesson to hear four Old Testament pictures that portray Christ’s sacrificial death. See the emphasis of the furniture and articles in the tabernacle, especially the bronze altar and the laver. Find out the necessity for substitutionary blood sacrifices as depicted in the furniture in the Holy of Holies. As you understand the Old Testament types, realize that only Jesus Christ’s death on the Cross could solve the sin problem once and for all.

Passage: Acts 9:1-21
Series: Acts (2010)
Duration: 1 hr 14 mins 23 secs
This class is taught on the eve of Yom Kippur. In recognition of that, Dr. Dean began class with a short video of Aveinu Shebashabaim, a Hebrew prayer for the State of Israel, sung by the Chief Cantor of the Israeli Defense Forces.

As Christians we recognize the importance of supporting Israel and the Jewish people in light of Genesis 12:1-3 and we appreciate how God’s love for Israel lives forever in His covenants and promises. Understand the real threats Israel and the Christian world face today and the Christian’s role in support of Israel.

The conversion of Saul of Tarsus is an example of another witness for the faith shown throughout Acts. Was Saul, in his thorough knowledge of the scriptures, an Old Testament believer or was he covered in layers that suppressed the Truth in unrighteousness? How long after the crucifixion did this event take place? Did Saul’s commission include more than just the Gentiles? Get the sequence and significance of events that began on the road to Damascus and led to Paul’s baptism and the beginning of his ministry.
