Galatians 5:16-23 teaches that at any moment we are either walking by the Holy Spirit or according to the sin nature. Walking by the Spirit, enjoying fellowship with God, walking in the light are virtually synonymous. During these times, the Holy Spirit is working in us to illuminate our minds to the truth of Scripture and to challenge us to apply what we learn. But when we sin, we begin to live based on the sin nature. Our works do not count for eternity. The only way to recover is to confess (admit, acknowledge) our sin to God the Father and we are instantly forgiven, cleansed, and recover our spiritual walk (1 John 1:9). Please make sure you are walking by the Spirit before you begin your Bible study, so it will be spiritually profitable.

Does God override our volition in terms of our eternal destiny? Did He arbitrarily choose certain people to be saved or did He know ahead of time who would choose to accept Christ as their Savior? Listen to this lesson to get Biblical answers to these important questions about God’s election and His foreknowledge. Accept the many Scriptures that teach that all who trust in God’s plan are in Christ and have His perfect righteousness.

Why does God call us choice ones, based on what He knows from eternity past? Listen to this lesson to see the importance of understanding election and foreknowledge. See that it is those who trust in Christ as their Savior who have imputed righteousness or the right garments to wear to the wedding feast. Gain an understanding of sanctification in its three phases. See that being holy does not mean we are morally pure but that we have been set apart. Relax knowing that since we do nothing for positional sanctification, we can do nothing to lose it and can confess our sins which are covered by the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ.
